Float Trips
Goodnews River
This amazing river system has a few options for your start. Either Good news lake or Kukatlim Lake. Both offer around 55 miles of great fishing and floating. With a strong salmon run comes great Rainbow and Dolly fishing. This River is great for a 5-7 day trip. We offer drop off and pickup services. Pickup is just up stream from the village, or coordinate a ride to the village and arrange a wheel plane.

Pungokepuk
The Pungokepuk River is ideal for groups looking for a shorter 3-4 float and closer to Dillingham. This river is a tributary to the Togiak River and has salmon run all the way up to spawn. With that comes good Rainbow fishing. With limited commercial use allowed, you often find your self with nobody else in sight and Rainbow trout on the line. Drop off is in Pungokepuk Lake and pick up is in the Togiak River.

Ongivinuk
Starting high in the mountains this float is truly beautiful. 3/4 of the time you with be in beautiful valleys with good hiking and lots of ptarmigan. The Ongivinuk starts of rather small so depending on the recent precipitation you may have to drag your boat at times. The amazing Grayling fishing easily makes up for the extra effort. As you continue down and the river grows in size you will find chum, reds, and king salmon.

Arolik
The Arolik River is a great fishing trip. With all 5 species of salmon and Rainbow trout, Dolly’s, and char, how could you not have a blast. This river is dependent of recent precipitation. The top miles can be shallow and require dragging boats. The bottom part of the river can be tidal so make sure to camp high and dry. The start of this float is in Arolik Lake and the pickup can be arranged with a beaver in the lower part of the river. There is also an option to coordinate with local Quinhagak villagers to be transported to the village and arrange a wheel plane.

Tikchik River
The Tikchik River is about a 50 mile float with great fishing and hiking. There are two start points, you can get dropped off at Nishlik or Upnuk Lake. The top part of the float offers nice Char, Dolly and Grayling fishing while the lower part of the river offers great rainbow and salmon fishing. The Tikchik River flows into Tikchik Lake where most people end their trip.

Kanetok
The Kanetok River is inside the beautiful Togiak wildlife Refuge. Starting high in the mountains at Kegati Lake, this float is about 80 miles long and end in the village of Quinhagak. Well known for its plush rainbow trout population, there is also great char and Dolly fishing. Typically floaters arrange transportation from the river to the village and fly out via wheel plane.
